What does the Branson Centre actually do?
We provide development services and support to passionate entrepreneurs and businesses who are enabling one or more of the Global Goals.
We offer bespoke management consulting, supply chain development, investment advisory and other services linked to assisting business accelerate the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
We help scale ups take the next step in their journey.
How long is the normal Branson Centre enterprise partnership agreement?
We look to partner with social enterprises for a period of between one and three years, with some partnerships going well beyond the three-year mark. Our partnerships are more than just ‘consulting agreements’; we invest more than just time and money in our partners.
My business doesn’t focus on the Global Goals. Can I still apply for a partnership with the Branson Centre?
We believe that if you look hard enough, you will be able to find areas of alignment between your operations and the Global Goals. The question is whether or not you want to embrace the Global Goals as being of equal value to the bottom line of your business.
We are not saying you need to sacrifice profit. In fact, the complete opposite: we want you to make profit by enabling the Global Goals.
If you are not currently focused on at least one of the Global Goals but you are looking to align your business with the Global Goals then take some time to identify your
theory of change and, once you have done that, identify the Global Goals your organisation focuses on and
apply for a partnership opportunity.
How do I apply for access to finance from the Branson Centre?
We are a management partner to social enterprises that are enabling the Global Goals.
We assist companies that we have chosen to partner with to raise finance through various investors and investment institutions — but we do not provide finance ourselves. If you wish to apply for a partnership opportunity, please complete

I’m a private seed/angel investor and I would like to be involved in the early stage investment opportunities of the Branson Centre’s enterprise partner organisations. How do I invest?
We are always looking for mission-aligned investors to partner with our enterprises. We have a number of enterprises at various stages of scale and in need of investment.

I want to make a donation towards supporting your enterprise partners but they are all “for profit”. Is there a way for me to make a donation and still receive the tax benefit?
Yes. The Branson Centre is a subsidiary of the Force for Good Trust, a registered Public Benefit Organisation. Donations made to our Trust are invested into black owned businesses that are enabling the global goals. Why not

The 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (Global Goals) are the world's best plan to build a better world for people and our planet by 2030.
Adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, the Global Goals are a call for action by all countries — poor, rich and middle-income — to promote prosperity while protecting the environment. They recognise that ending poverty must go hand-in-hand with strategies that build economic growth and address a range of social needs (such as education, health, equality and job opportunities) while tackling climate change and working to preserve our ocean and forests. Why does my business have to be enabling a Global Goal to be considered as a partner for the Branson Centre?
We believe that the role of business is to play an active part in contributing to the sustainability of our planet and communities.
The Global Goals represent 17 ambitious outcomes that are required to be met if we want to view the world as being economically, environmentally and socially sustainable.
We see the Global Goals as the best means through which enterprises can ensure they have a positive impact on people, planet and profit.

Why can't I find your physical address?
We are a dynamic and agile company that enables its people to work from anywhere. We don’t have a physical address; instead, we use shared space in various locations throughout the country.
I want to do an internship with the Branson Centre. Where do I apply?
We don’t often use interns as we prefer to create long-term relationships with external service providers that assist us with our partner enterprises. From time to time, we partner with existing academic institutions to provide practical experience for their students as part of their qualification requirements.

What happened to centre in Braamfontein?
The Branson Centre was closed in August 2017 along with it's centre in Braamfontein. Today the Branson Centre of Entrepreneurship has a new working model. We do not have physical premises where we offer training programmes or access to mentoring for start-ups.

How can a Not For Profit Organisation partner with the Branson Centre to scale?
If your NPO is looking at opportunities to generate ongoing revenue through establishing a business venture and you have a clear focus on enabling at least one of the Global Goals, you can apply to become a partner.
How do I apply for donations, grants or charitable funding support?
The Branson Centre works with social entrepreneurs that are driving the Global Goals whilst sustaining a profitable business. We don’t provide financial support in the form of donations, grants or charitable funding. We assist companies that we have chosen to partner with to raise finance through various investors and investment institutions — but we do not provide finance ourselves.
